Access

Umihotaru is located midway through the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway and can be reached from either side of Tokyo Bay (Kawasaki or Kisarazu). Transit bus routes to Umihotaru are also available from various locations.

Traveling by car

Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line toll (Dorapura)

Visiting Umihotaru from the Tokyo, Yokohama or Kawasaki area

Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line connects to both the Bayshore Route and National Route 409 at both the Kawasaki Ukishima junction and Ukishima interchange.

Visiting Umihotaru from the Chiba or Kisarazu area

Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line connects to the Aqua Renraku Expressway and National Route 409 at the Kisarazu Kaneda interchange. Aqua Renraku Exp. connects to the Tateyama Exp. and Ken-O Exp.

Turning back at Umihotaru

Whether you are visiting from the Kisarazu or Kawasaki side, you can turn back at Umihotaru to your point of departure.
Visitors turning back at Umihotaru are charged a one-way toll.

Visiting from the Kawasaki side.

Visitors using ETC

You can use the ETC lanes. Make sure you are driving on ETC wireless drive mode (ETC card inserted in the onboard unit).

Visitors paying cash

To make your return trip, follow the signs for Kawasaki to reach the Umihotaru toll booth.
Pay at the toll machine and follow the signs to proceed towards Kawasaki.

Visitors from the Kisarazu side.

Visitors using ETC

You can use the ETC lanes. Make sure you are driving on ETC wireless drive mode (ETC card inserted in the onboard unit).
When you are back at the Kisarazu toll booth, use an ETC lane to pass through the gate.

Visitors paying cash

Your Aqua-Line toll was charged at the Kisarazu Kaneda interchange on your way here, and you will not be charged for the return leg.
To make your return trip, follow the signs for Kisarazu until you reach the turn-back certificate machine. Take your turn-back certificate and follow thesigns to proceed towards the Kisarazu Kaneda interchange. When you are at the Kisarazu Kaneda toll booth, proceed to one of the manned lanes and hand theturn-back certificate to the toll booth attendant.

Traveling by transit bus

You can also reach Umihotaru on transit buses departing from Kawasaki and Kisarazu stations.
On either route, departure times vary depending on the day of week. Please make sure to check departure times before you begin your trip so that you are able to board the bus in time.

Bay 7 at Kisarazu station
Departing Kawasaki:
Bay 22 at Kawasaki station, east exit

Umihotaru 1F parking area (Kawasaki side)
