Advance reservation

  • Tours are by advance reservation only.

Reservable days

  • Tours held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are available for individual guests.
  • Group tour dates, or Thursday and Friday tour dates, that remain unreserved by a group by two weeks before will be made available for reservations for individuals.In such cases, the list of reservation statuses will show the number of available spots one at a time starting on the business day after two weeks before the respective tour dates.

Maximum tour size

  • The maximum tour size for the pre-noon and afternoon courses are 20 persons each.

Children under nine years of age may not join the tour. Primary school students must be accompanied by a guardian.

Reservation Application Period

  • Reservations are accepted for each month and begin at 10:00 am of the first day of the month two months prior to your preferred tour date and are accepted until noon the day before the tour.

How to make your reservation

  • Reservations are accepted online 24 hours a day on our site on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please note that we only accept reservations online. Thank you for your understanding.)
  • Reservations close once the maximum tour size is reached.
  • Even as you are entering the required information on the reservation page, your application may be declined if another party completes their reservation and the maximum tour size is reached.
  • You may make reservations for up to 7 people at a time, including the representing person.
  • As we seek to have as many people as possible enjoy our tours, please refrain from making multiple reservations expecting to cancel a number of those reservations.
  • The applying person must thoroughly explain the Tour Conditions and Reminders to all participants and obtain consent from all participants before making the reservation.
  • You will receive an email message confirming your reservation once your reservation application is confirmed.
    Please save this confirmation email on your smartphone or cell phone, or print out a hardcopy of the email so that you are able to present this to our staff at reception.

Payment Method

  • Please pay by cash at the reception on the day of your tour.
    (We take cash only. We do not accept credit cards, e-money or other forms of payment.)

Cancelations and Changes to Party Size

  • If you need to cancel your reservation or make changes to the number of people in your party for unavoidable reasons, please click on the URL for making changes in the reservation confirmation email we sent you, and please make your changes on our site.
  • Changes and cancellations are accepted until noon the day before the opening date.
  • We may not be able to accommodate requests to add more people to your party, such as if the tour has already reached its maximum tour size. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Please keep in mind that if you make a no-show, all future applications from you will be declined.

  • All explanations and instructions during the tour aregiven verbally in Japanese.From a safety management standpoint,every group must be accompanied by one or more persons who are able to understand these verbal explanations and instructions given by attendants (Japanese-foreign language interpreter and/or sign language interpreter and such).
  • The tour meets up and disperses at the Umihotaru, so tour guests are responsible for securing their own means of transportation to Umihotaru (Guests are responsible for all transportation costs to and from Umihotaru).
  • The tour is a walking tour, so only guests who are capable ofwalking for at least 2km and climbing 120 stairs(the same as climbing to the 7th floor of a building)without assistance can join the tour.

    Since this is a tour of facilities that are used for road management operations, the tour takes guests through areas that are not designed for barrier-free access. Therefore, for safety reasons, persons in wheelchairs or persons who require walking assistance will be unable to join the tour. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

  • Participants must be at least nine years of age. (Primary school students must be accompanied by a guardian)
  • Persons with pets or those wearing high heels or sandals will not be allowed on the tour.
  • Persons who are intoxicated will not be allowed on the tour as they may inconvenience or pose a safety risk to other tour guests. Tour attendants are authorized to perform alcohol tests if deemed necessary and guests are required to consent to the test. Persons that are shown to be intoxicated from the test result will not be allowed on the tour.
  • On the day of the tour, please arrive at the meet-up area by the specified time. Guests arriving late will not be able to join the tour.
  • Please make sure that you agree with all of the above Tour Conditions and enter a check in the "Agree" column when you make your reservation.
    Guests will also be asked to sign a waiver on the day of the tour.

  • Tour guests must follow the attendants' instructions and remain alert to avoid hazardous situations.
  • The tour organizer will not be held liable whatsoever for damages caused by accidents or other incidents during the tour. Tour guests are responsible for obtaining damage insurance or other insurance for damages that they may potentially incur during the tour.
  • The tour organizer may ask to see your driver's license, employee certificate, student registration or other form of ID to check that you are actually the person who made the reservation.
  • To ensure the safety of tour participants, the tour organizer may ask to check your belongings visually or by metal detector (including the contents of your day pack, etc.).
  • To ensure safety control, items that guests may bring on the tour are limited to minimum essentials including valuables, cameras, and smartphones. Please keep all other items by yourself, such as in the car.
  • Please bring a well-worn pair of shoes that are not slippery.
  • No strollers on the tour.
  • No consumption of alcoholic beverages, meals, or smoking during the tour.
  • Tours may be canceled if the organizer determines that it would be difficult to hold the tour due to unavoidable circumstances such as traffic closure caused by accidents or torrential rain, high winds or other weather conditions.
    If tour cancelation due to weather or other conditions seems to be a possibility, please contact the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Undersea Tunnel Adventure Tour Office at +81-0438-97-5269.
  • Please bring a raincoat if it is rainy. The tour itinerary may have to be changed in the event of inclement weather.
  • The tour organizer will not be held liable whatsoever for any delay in the tour end time. If a tour is canceled, the tour organizers' sole responsibility will be to reimburse the tour admission.
  • Guests are free to take photographs during the tour, but please make sure to handle photographs containing personal images with care and respect image rights and privacy.
  • The tour organizer may take photos of the tour for publicity or in-house operational purposes. In some cases, tour groups may be accompanied by news-gathering media crews.
  • If a tour attendant deems a particular individual unfit to continue the tour from a safety control perspective, this person may be refused from continuing the tour. Tour admissions will not be reimbursed in such cases.

Application Guide (Groups)

Advance reservation

  • Tours are by advance reservation only.
  • Group reservations are available for groups of 20 or more people. (School, company or community groups, or travel companies who organize tours based on the Travel Agency Act)

Reservable days

  • Tours held on Thursdays and Fridays are available for group guests.

Maximum tour size

  • We accept group reservations for groups of at least 20 persons up to a maximum of 50 persons per one pre-noon or afternoon course.
  • Groups with more than 25 persons will be split into two groups.

Reservation Application Period

  • We take group reservations based on half-year terms (Apr-Sept and Oct-Mar). Reservations begin at 10:00 am on the first day of the month four months prior to the beginning of each term and close two weeks prior to your preferred tour date.
    If the first day of a month falls on a holiday, or on year end or new year's holidays, reservations begin the following business day. If the day reservations close falls on a holiday, reservations close on the last business day before this date.

How to make your reservation

  • The applying person must thoroughly explain the Tour Conditions and Reminders to all participants and obtain consent from all participants before making the reservation.
  • Reservations are by phone. Please contact the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Undersea Tunnel Adventure Tour office. After your call, we will email you a reservation form. Please enter the required information in the form and return it to us by email. We accept reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • After we confirm the receipt of your reservation form, you will receive an email confirming your reservation from the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Undersea Tunnel Adventure Tour office. Adventure office. Please save this confirmation email on your smartphone or cell phone, or print out a hardcopy of the email so that you are able to present this to our staff at reception.
    If you do not receive a reservation confirmation email from us, please contact the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Adventure office.

Payment Method

  • At the time of reservation, you can choose either to pay by cash at the reception on the day of your tour, or to send us your admission fee via bank remittance.

    If you are paying by cash, have a group representative pay at the reception on the day of the tour (Please have the exact amount as much as possible).

    If you wish to pay by bank remittance, we will send you an invoice with the remittance details so please pay through your bank no later than 14 days from the time you receive the invoice (You are responsible for paying the bank remittance fee).

Cancelations and Changes to Party Size

  • If you need to cancel your reservation for unavoidable reasons, please contact the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Undersea Tunnel Adventure Tour Office at least two weeks before your scheduled tour date.
  • Please keep in mind that if you cancel your tour after the cancelation period or if you make a no-show, all future applications from you will be declined.
